Kuala Lumpur, 8 February 2013 – MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (“MEASAT”) announced today the successful launch of the AZERSPACE-1 / AFRICASAT-1a satellite. The satellite was launched on an Ariane 5 ECA launch vehicle from the European Space Port in Kourou, French Guiana at 5.36am 8th February 2013 local Malaysian time.
