Kuala Lumpur, 21 March 2014 – MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (“MEASAT”) announced today an agreement with Globecast and TV5MONDE to upgrade the TV5MONDE channel from standard definition (“SD”) to high definition (“HD”). Under the terms of the agreement, MEASAT will distribute the upgraded TV5MONDE HD channel via MEASAT-3’s global C-band beam, covering 102 countries across Asia, Australia, Middle East, Europe and Africa.
