John Loke Kar Pun is MEASAT’s Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he oversees the company’s Information Technology & Digital Transformation, Network Engineering & Operations, Satellite Engineering & Operations and Satellite & Launch Procurement departments.

With almost 30 years of experience in the satellite industry, John rejoins the MEASAT team having previously served the company from 2011 to 2021. During that decade, he held several key leadership positions including Vice President of Network Engineering and Operations and Senior Manager of Commercial Engineering, where he played a pivotal role in the launch and operation of the MEASAT-3a and MEASAT-3b satellites, as well as the initial rollout of CONNECTme.

Prior to his current appointment, John was the Chief Technology Officer at a Singapore-based broadband satellite operator. He began his career at Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) as part of the pioneering team that launched the ST-1 operation.

He holds a B. Eng (Electrical & Electronic Engineering) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, majoring in Communications Engineering. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
