Yau Chyong Lim is the Chief Operating Officer of MEASAT, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s business operations and management.

With almost 30 years of experience in the satellite industry, Yau has extensive expertise spanning various sectors, including sales and marketing, business development, network engineering, and commercial operations.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the satellite communications field, Yau was named the Asia-Pacific Space Community Council (APSCC) Satellite Executive of the Year in 2022.

Under his leadership, MEASAT was awarded the Regional Satcom Operator of the Year 2023 by Novaspace and Hybrid Teleport Operator of the Year 2025 by World Teleport Association.

Yau also serves as a Board Member of APSCC and the Deputy Chair of Malaysia SpaceTech (PIKOM). Additionally, he is an active committee member of the Sarawak Space Industry & Satellite Committee (SISCOM), contributing to the growth and strategic development of Sarawak’s space industry.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Keele University in Staffordshire, UK, and a BSc in Microelectronics & Physics from Campbell University in North Carolina, USA
