Eligibility
The MEASAT University Scholarship Award (“Award”) at the International Space University (“ISU”), Strasbourg, France is offered to any Malaysian Citizen who is 35 years and below.
Applicants should have a degree in the field of Economics / Finance / Mathematics / Law / Business Administration / Electrical / Communications Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or Physics.
Applicants should have an accumulative 3.6 grade point average or above.
Applicants need not have gained admission into the said University at the time of application submission, but must have gained admission into ISU upon the grant of the Award.
 
Scholarship coverage
The scholarship will cover tuition fees for a space master’s programme (“the Master’s Programme”), a return airfare, lodging and living allowance in a sum to be determined at the sole discretion of MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd (“MEASAT”) based on reasonable costs of lodging and living expenses in Strasbourg, France.
 
Terms and conditions
The successful applicant is required to serve an employment bond of three years with MEASAT upon completion of the Master’s Program.
The applicant must not be bonded to other institutions or organizations at the time of application, throughout the time that his/her agreement with MEASAT; or while serving employment bond with MEASAT.
The Award shall only be made available when all the following requirements have
been satisfied:
 
i.
An agreement has been signed in relation to the terms and conditions governing the Award and the employment bond to be served at MEASAT by the successful applicant.
ii.
Receipt by MEASAT of a written confirmation issued by a doctor from MEASAT’s panel of doctors that the scholarship holder is medically fit and able to undertake the Master’s Programme; and
iii.
The scholarship holder has provided MEASAT with evidence that he/she has been accepted and enrolled to undertake the Master’s Programme at the Institution for the duration of the programme period (upon the contracted scholarship agreement).
The successful applicant shall not, without prior written consent of MEASAT, accept any other scholarships or forms of financial aid from other sources whatsoever while his/her agreement with MEASAT is still in force.
The successful applicant shall not, without prior written consent of MEASAT, withdraw from the Masters Programme at any time before the completion and attainment of the Degree, and shall not change to another programme whether at the Institution or elsewhere, without the prior written consent of MEASAT (which consent may be withheld at MEASAT’s absolute discretion or granted with conditions attached).
The applicant should comply with all terms and conditions detailed. A failure to do so will result in revocation of the Award.
Applicants must not possess a criminal record.
The applicant is responsible for all costs incurred in applying for the Award.
All decisions of MEASAT in any matter in relations to the scholarship award shall be final and no appeal will be entertained.

MEASAT shall not be responsible or liable for any losses or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by the applicant(s) due to any delay and/or failure in submitting his/her application.
MEASAT reserves the right to amend, delete or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time at its sole and absolute discretion and the applicants shall be bound to such changes.
MEASAT reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, delay or withdraw its offer of the Award in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Only short-listed applicants will be notified by email or telephone for an interview.
All applications shall be considered on their merits. Applicants are therefore advised to highlight all their notable achievements, academic or otherwise.
The short-listed applicants must bring his/her original certificates to the interview.
