The Malaysian operator MEASAT has successfully launched its new satellite, Measat-3a, at its primary orbital slot of 91.5 degrees East. Satellite Finance speaks to Paul Brown-Kenyon, Chief Operating Officer, MEASAT on MEASAT’s future growth as an Asia Pacific Operator.

Despite a delay on the launch of 3a, MEASAT is confident the new satellite’s extra capacity at 91.5E will help existing customers grow, and is optimistic about the opportunities afforded by AFRICASAT-1 at 46E.
