MEASAT Contracts Orbital for the MEASAT-1R Satellite |

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Binariang Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd.), a wholly owned subsidiary of MEASAT Global Bhd., announced today the execution of a contract for the procurement of the MEASAT-1R spacecraft from Orbital Sciences Corporation. MEASAT-1R will provide high powered C and Ku-band capacity over Malaysia, Indonesia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

GMA Renews and Expands Capacity on the MEASAT Satellite Network |

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Binariang Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd.) announced today it has signed an agreement with GMA Network, Inc., the leading provider of news and entertainment broadcast services in the Philippines, to renew the satellite lease for three channels. An agreement was also signed to increase capacity to support the distribution for the new QTV Channel 11.

Bhd.) announced today that Solar Entertainment Corporation Company, a leading cable channel bouquet based in the Philippines, has signed an agreement for capacity on the MEASAT-1 satellite for the distribution of three additional television channels: RPN-9, Crime N Suspense and ETC 2nd Avenue.

MEASAT Renews Multi-Transponder Deal with Globe Telecom |

Bhd.), the owner and operator of the MEASAT satellite network, today announced that Globe Telecom, a major telecommunications company in the Philippines, has renewed a long term multiple transponder agreement to use the MEASAT satellite system for the distribution of GSM backbone traffic and data services.
